Sharjah is gearing up for one of the region’s biggest trade events in the gold and jewellery industry. The 56th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is happening from September 24 to 28 at Expo Centre Sharjah, and if previous years are any indication, it’s going to be massive.
The show is organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with backing from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Over five days, more than 500 exhibitors from 21 countries will be showing off their latest collections, alongside 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals.

Last Year’s Numbers Were Impressive
The previous edition of the show pulled in Dh105 million in sales and attracted 87,000 visitors from 106 countries. On the trade side, 1,400 professionals from 63 nations showed up, cementing the event’s reputation as one of the world’s top platforms for the gold and jewellery sector.
The exhibition spans 30,000 square meters and covers everything from gold and diamonds to watches, gemstones, and the latest jewelry fashion trends. It’s basically a luxury showcase on a grand scale.
Who’s Coming This Year?
This year’s lineup includes brands and designers from the UAE, Italy, India, Turkey, the United States, Russia, the UK, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and Kuwait. That’s a lot of ground covered.
What’s particularly interesting is that Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan are participating for the first time, showing that the exhibition continues to expand its international footprint. Italy is bringing more than 50 exhibitors alone, and there will be national pavilions from major jewelry hubs like India, Singapore, and Thailand.
Why Sharjah Keeps Hosting This
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, explained that the show has become a cornerstone of Sharjah’s trade calendar after years of steady growth.
“The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is an essential platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders at both local and international levels,” he said. This year’s edition aims to deliver “a unique experience that combines exclusivity, creativity, and innovation” while boosting the exhibition’s competitiveness globally.
It’s not just about selling jewelry either. Sharjah has positioned itself as a serious player in the jewelry trade, and events like this help reinforce that status.
More Than Just Browsing
Beyond walking around and looking at shiny things—though there will be plenty of that—the show includes workshops and knowledge sessions focused on best practices in gold and jewelry design and manufacturing. These are aimed at giving professionals practical insights and helping them stay competitive in a crowded market.
For industry insiders, it’s a chance to network, learn, and see what’s trending in different parts of the world. For luxury buyers and enthusiasts, it’s access to exclusive collections of gold, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, and high-end timepieces all in one place.
When to Go
The exhibition is open from 1pm to 10pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday, it runs from 3pm to 10pm.
With its mix of international brands, exclusive collections, and professional development opportunities, the 56th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is shaping up to be another successful chapter for Sharjah’s position in the global jewelry trade. Whether you’re in the industry or just appreciate fine craftsmanship, it’s worth checking out.
