Notice Issued to the Minister 

The contempt notice issued by (IHC) to Gulam Sarvar Khan. Because he is terming the release of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a “deal” between the government and the Sharifs. Also, IHC rejected Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan’s request.

Hence, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan (Special Assistant to the Prime Minister) submitted her application to separate her case from Sarwar Khan. But IHC rejected her request and said the two cases heard together on 14th November. 

As IHC statement, these two cases are not separate because she had held a press conference in a government capacity. Thus, the Sarwar Khan had also stated the deal. The Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition as a single bench of IHC comprising. Then he directed Ghulam Sarwar to rise before the court in person on the next hearing to held on Thursday. 

So, it treated as having filed under the Disgrace of Court Ordinance, 2003. It was keeping in view the nature of declarations made in this request. Hence, IHC ordered the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority. Including the TV channel “Hum” to submit a recording of the programming that referred to in the petition. It is necessary to complete before the next date fixed.
