BTCC Wins Community Vote for Best Centralized Exchange at BeInCrypto Awards

BTCC just picked up the Community Choice award for Best Centralized Exchange at the BeInCrypto 100 Awards, which wrapped up with a virtual ceremony on December 10th. The award’s based on direct votes from crypto users globally, so it’s less about industry insiders picking favorites and more about what actual traders think.

BeInCrypto runs these awards annually in partnership with Binance Square, recognizing projects and platforms across Web3. In the centralized exchange category, BTCC got the most votes, beating out whatever other exchanges were in the running. For a platform that’s been around since 2011, winning a community vote in 2025 means they’re still doing something right.

Why BTCC’s Getting Recognition

The exchange has been putting up solid numbers this year. Q3 2025 saw $1.15 trillion in combined futures and spot trading volume, which marked 20% growth quarter-over-quarter. They’re now offering over 400 futures pairs and more than 460 spot pairs, giving their 10 million users plenty of markets to trade.

What probably matters more than the volume numbers is BTCC’s security track record. Fourteen years without a major breach is genuinely impressive in crypto, where exchanges getting hacked or imploding is practically a genre. Mt. Gox, QuadrigaCX, FTX—the list of exchanges that spectacularly failed is long enough that any platform lasting over a decade with zero security incidents deserves credit.

Aaryn Ling, BTCC’s head of branding, framed the award as validation of their approach: “This award reflects the trust that our 10 million users place in BTCC every day.” It’s corporate speak, but the underlying point holds—community votes measure reputation, and reputation in crypto is earned slowly and lost instantly.

Other Recognition This Year

The BeInCrypto award isn’t BTCC’s first this year. FXEmpire gave them three separate honors: Lowest Fee Crypto Exchange, Best Fiat-to-Crypto Trading Platform, and Best Crypto Exchange in the USA. Whether those awards carry as much weight as a community vote is debatable, but collecting multiple recognitions from different sources suggests consistent performance across categories.

BTCC also partnered with NBA player Jaren Jackson Jr., the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, as their global brand ambassador. It’s a mainstream play—using a recognizable athlete to bridge crypto with traditional audiences. Whether that actually moves the needle on user acquisition is hard to measure, but exchanges have been trying celebrity partnerships for years now with mixed results.

Celebrating with a 10M USDT Competition

To mark the award, BTCC’s launching a trading competition with a 10 million USDT prize pool, which is a hefty number even for exchange-led events. Details are still rolling out on their X account, but the structure’s presumably similar to standard volume-based competitions where top traders by volume or PnL split the pool.

They’re also running a smaller giveaway—1,000 USDT each to 10 winners—as a community thank you. It’s promotional, obviously, but at least they’re putting money behind the celebration instead of just issuing a press release and calling it a day.

What Comes Next

BTCC says they’re planning to expand spot and futures offerings in 2026, add more platform features, and increase global community engagement. That’s vague enough to mean almost anything, but it tracks with what you’d expect from an exchange trying to maintain momentum after a strong year.

The real test for any exchange isn’t winning awards—it’s whether they can keep the infrastructure stable, the security tight, and the user experience smooth while scaling. BTCC’s been around long enough to know that, and the fact they’ve lasted 14 years without a catastrophic failure suggests they understand the fundamentals. Whether they maintain that track record as competition intensifies and users get more demanding is the question that actually matters.
